Personal Injury

The Law Offices of Janica L. Campbell  makes it easy and affordable to retain our legal services. We handle all Personal Injury cases on a contingency basis. This means that,  we only get paid if, and when, we recover money for your injuries. Personal injury includes, but is not limited to: car accidents, trucking accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, product liability and wrongful death claims.

The majority of personal injury cases in the United States are the result of car and trucking accidents. A careless driver can (usually) be held financially responsible for injuries stemming from a car accident. When you have been injured due to a slip and fall, you are entitled to compensation if someone else’s wrongful conduct or failure to act caused the harm. We can help with your medical malpractice case if you have experienced negligence or omission by a health care professional that leads to an injury. When a manufacturer, distributor, supplier or retailer is responsible for injury caused by any product that is available to the public, we can help with your case. We will hold those liable when a family member experiences wrongful death due, but not limited to, a motor vehicle accident caused by another driver, a dangerous roadway or defective vehicle, or medical malpractice. Property owners (or, in some cases, those who are renting property) have a legal duty to keep their premises reasonably safe and free of hazards, so that people who are on the property do not become injured.

If you or your family member has been harmed by the acts or omissions of another person or business, we will aggressively pursue your case to get you the money that you deserve. We realize that being involved in a claim or a lawsuit is most likely a new experience for you and we know that this is a stressful time in your life. Even if you were told that you were at fault or partially at fault, do not divulge any information, just give us a call. While you focus on getting better, we will focus on getting the best results.

If you were hurt due to someone else’s negligence, you have the right to monetary compensation. We will fight for you whether you are a US citizen, a legal permanent resident or undocumented.

We offer a free consultation with an experienced attorney where we can discuss the merits of your case.

Estate Planning

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven that we must always be prepared for what we cannot predict. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that you have your affairs in order to show your loved ones how much you really care about them. Having a Will, a Trust, a Health Care directive and/or Power of Attorney amongst other legal documents requires estate planning. If you die without a Will, the law says that you have died “intestate.” This means that you have not left instructions as to how your property is to be divided and distributed. Since you did not make a Will, the law will make one for you. The law will decide how your estate is divided. It is in your best interest that when (not if) you pass away you were the one who decided how your estate was divided. You will want to determine who gets what- and when that person gets it. Additionally, you will want to ensure that you are paying the least amount of taxes, legal fees, and court costs.

The Law Offices of Janica L. Campbell will guide you on estate planning strategies and develop a complete estate plan that takes your worry away. We help you take control by making sure that your designated beneficiaries and important documents are organized, thus giving you complete control and security over your legacy. Do not let your hopes and dreams for your family’s well-being and security die with you.

Are you unable to pay your bills due to the impact of COVID-19 affecting your livelihood? We can get you the relief that you need from the debt that has caused you stress. We will give you a path towards financial security by giving you tools to rebuild your finances.

You deserve a fresh start! Filing bankruptcy can help a person by discarding debt or making a plan to repay debts. A petition may be filed by an individual, by spouses together, or by a corporation or other entity. We can stop wage garnishment, creditor harassment, and foreclosures.

There are different types of bankruptcies that individuals may file, Chapter 7, Chapter 11 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy, depending on the specifics of your situation. Chapter 7 allows liquidation of assets to pay creditors and is the most common bankruptcy in the United States. Chapter 11 provides for reorganization, usually involving a corporation or partnership. Chapter 13, also called a wage earner’s plan, will allow a debtor to keep property and pay debts over time.

Having the Law Offices of Janica L. Campbell work with the trustee, prepare your documents and represent you, ensures that the due diligence and means test requirements have been met. This increases your chances of a discharge at the 341/Creditors Meeting. You deserve a fresh start and the peace of mind that comes with it!

Our law offices will apply for it through a process known as Adjustment of Status (AOS).
